Orignally settled by a large number of German immigrants, the German Village is a historic neighborhood located south of downtown. Known for delicious and locally owned restaurants and the Brewery District–where 29 breweries have existed throughout its history. The German Village is a community that knows food, with several local restaurants, appearing on national television shows, magazines and news outlets throughout the years. More than just food and drink, the German Village is also home to unique shops including the 32-room Book Loft, art galleries and one of the world’s largest producers of stained glass: the Franklin Art Glass Studios, Inc.
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY
North of downtown and close to the Short North is the Ohio State University campus. With both nationally ranked programs and sports teams, OSU is an integral part of life in Columbus. Campus offers a diverse array of shops, restaurants and activity. Stop by the famous Buckeye Donuts or catch an OSU sporting event and see why the OSU campus is so loved.
